From the Shoe Pile

Work boots, brown bull hide vamps and counters with green calf tops. 4 rows of stitching. Don’t ask about the pull tabs…
Full storm welt, leather midsole with heat formed synthetic outsole.

Chukkas in burgundy French Calf.

Your (sometimes) humble cordwainer.

Next week: jodhpur boots and a pair of tall top piratey pirate boots.

Mirrored from I see neutronjockies....

Work boots? Those are work boots? Perish the thought. Very pretty.

Bullhide, storm welt, full welt...midsole and synthetics---it all says 'work boot' to me...

The new owner said the only scratches they'd get are from being placed on his mantle above the fireplace.

Too pretty for manure.

Flail! I want to do a reverse "The Shoemaker and the Elves". Meaning, I want the cordwainer to make these and leave 'em on his workbench overnight. When I, playing the elf, will make them disappear. Muwah-hah-hah!

Ooooooh, jodhpur boots.

Also, why are we not supposed to ask about the pretty flaming-arrow pull-tabs?

Bad workshop elf!

Pull-tabs... we hates them! They are such a time consuming thing. It takes anywhere from a couple of hours..to the entire day to do pull-tabs depending on their design and complexity. Maybe I'll just sent a free latigo strap with every purchase (wrap it 'round the bottom of the boot and yank!).

Yeah, but the BEAUTIFUL. Look at the way the points up the side interact with the stitching. How the bottom point draws the eye down to the shape of the vamp and echoes the section of the bullhide that rises up the front of the tops. Those pull tabs are the flourish of fabulousness that make these boots freakin' sublime. Do not diss the pull tabs, mon.

If I ever need cover copy for a boot and shoe catalog---or a review, I know exactly who I'm coming to. :D

Was what did it for me.

She had me at "hello."

Pretty! But your boots are made for usin'. Kind of sad to think that they wouldn't be.

They are apparently going to be used as church-goin' boots for that Arkansas man. I had built them with utility in mind---but he felt they were too purdy to ride his mules in. *shrug*

If you ever make me a pair of bullhide boots, I promise to put them to work. Even if I have to buy a mule to do it. *g*

I've seen a few mules on craigslist recently...

Oooooh, shoe candy! Gorgeous, as always. :) Piratey pirate boots, eh? I bet those be mine! ;D

YAR! Those piratey boots will be yars!

I am redesigning my entire pirate skirt ensemble to show off boots! :D
