City of Brisbane shot

Here's a shot of the City of Brisbane. I really dig on tri-tones and had to render down on this one. The shot was taken about mid morning with a Cannon Digital Rebel EOS using an 18-55mm lens (for all you visual-geeks out there). It has been LJ-cutted per [info]annathepiper's request :).

I can see it, in a sort of 3d-grim-realization-of-Justice-League-Unlimited kind of way! Or perhaps Gotham City. Hee!

Indeed we are. While I'm not a regular superhero-comic fan, I am grooving on Justice League Unlimited! (And I have a decent appreciation for Batman as well. ;) )

Might I recommend to you Birds of Prey. It's written by one Gail Simone (formerly wrote for The Simpsons), and contains some of the most clever writing in comic books today. She also writes Villains Unlimited, although I've yet to grab a copy or two of that. She's taken a bit of a modern feminist approach to comic book writing...which her jaunt into the field was accidental starting with this Women In Refrigerators posting: http://www.the-pantheon.net/wir/index.html
